Our Christmas workshop is finally here!

If you are coming along to the workshop, I hope you are ready to make LOTS of cards for Christmas! And if you are not joining us and you have stumbled across this blog by chance, I hope you enjoy having a look at the cards we will be making!
For this workshop we will be focusing on 3 main stamps sets. The first of which includes this fabulous Christmas tree, the set is called Special Season and it enables you to make lots of quick and simple yet effective cards. Perfect if you have a lot of friends and family to make cards for.

The next set we we will use is Snow Day. I have to confess, I fell in love with this little snowman. I think he is great for making children's cards. Here are a couple for you:

And here's the stamp set.

You don't have to use the Snowman on every card. This set is really versatile, you can make festive garlands too, like I have done in the card on the left in the next image.

Finally my absolute favourite stamp set that we will use in this workshop is festive flurry. You get a sneak peek of it in the picture above but it truly is a stunning set. Judge for yourself.....

It comes with a matching set of dies so that you can cut your snowflakes out perfectly and easily every time.

And a few cards to get you ready too.....

There are many, many more cards for you to make at the workshop. These are just a few glimpses of what's in store!

If you are coming to workshop, you may find it useful to bring along any Christmas greetings stamps you have. If you have a black ink pad such as stazon, that would be good too. It needs to be a permanent dye ink. Also versamark ink will be used frequently so please bring that if you have it. I will have some to share, but it will be easier for you if you have your own to hand.

Well that's it for now folks. See you all soon
Linds x

July Workshop 'Patio Party' here we come!

What better way to spend a Bank Holiday weekend than preparing for my next Stampin' Up! workshop?   I can't think of any better way.
So in July we are going to be working with one of my favourite paper packs from this year's annual catalogue. Patio Party is such a fun and vibrant set which lends itself to birthday cards for boys and girls. I have teamed it up with the stamps sets 'Make a Cake' and 'Patterned Party'.  Add a bit of bling here and there and hey presto! Fabulous cards and so easy to make!

Here's just a few samples, the rest you will see on the day!

It won't just be birthday cards this month though. I have also used the gorgeous stamp set 'Kindness Matters to create simple yet effective cards that you can make in a flash!

And if you have a wedding to go to then it's always good to have a stunning handmade card ready for the occasion.  Here is one of the cards that you will make on the day using the set  'Just Married'.

And a friendship card using the stamp set 'For the Birds'.

Hopefully that has given you a flavour of the day. I will be posting more pictures nearer the workshop date and workshop attendees should be receiving an email from me in the next day or so with details of how to book.
As always, thanks for looking and happy stamping!

Sorry for the wait...

So, only a few days to go until our 'Tea for Two' workshop. I have been really busy getting your kits ready and preparing all those little extra treats that you love that I almost forgot to update the blog!
Well here are a few previews of the many cards that you will be able to make this month.
In the first one here, you will see that we are using the memorable moments stamp set again, so bring that along if you bought it  to go with last month's kit.

The next card uses the delightful dress up framelits. I have loved using these and 'dressing them up'!.
I know you will love the new honeycomb embossing folder. It is so effective. You can see it used in the next card.

Your kit will include some of the soda pop tops as seen in the card below. You will also get some pretty mini doilies too.

The next card design uses the new SU pinwheel sizzlit die. I know that pin wheels are relatively easy to make without a die, but using the die just makes it a breeze!

And here's another using the dress up framelits.

And the last card I am going to share with you is this one. The rest I will save as a surprise for the day. You are going to love the designer brads that I have popped into your kits. You can see one in the card below. They are so elegant and you can make them co-ordinate with all of your papers.

I am really looking forward to seeing every one coming along to workshop. Don't forget to bring along your ink pads and stamp sets from previous kits - you never know what you might need! You might want to bring along your own cutting machine as well (especially if you have ordered your own secret garden and framelits!) I will be bringing mine for you to use as usual, but if you bring your own it will save you from having to queue!

See you all soon, and if you are not coming along to workshop I hope the cards provide you with some Stampin' Up! inspiration!

Thanks for looking x

January's Fan Fair Workshop

Our January workshop will be here before you know it, so it is time for me to share with you a few of the cards we will be making on the day. Our cards this month are made with the fabulous Fan Fair designer series paper.

The colours are lovely and there's such a wide variety of designs in the pack.
Our featured stamp sets are Established Elegance:
Papaya Collage:
and Memorable Moments:
This month I have managed to design a few cards with men in mind, as well as catering for lots of occasions. I love the old typewriter image in Established Elegance.

The dress form is also a stamp that I know I will get lots of use from. In the next card you will see another of my favourite stamp sets from the new catalogue in use, it's called Friendly phrases. It's got phrases for a multitude of occasions and has such a quirky font style - it adds a touch of elegance to any card. You can see the stamp set after the card.

And what's even better - it's such a good price, just £13.95 for the clear mount version - a real investment set.

There are a few techniques to discover / rediscover in the next workshop too.

I really enjoyed making the next card - I loved making the scene inside the window and the bike from the patterned paper is just the right size to sit by the fence!

The memorable moments stamps are another investment set. They make it possible to prepare a card for any special birthday or Anniversary.

Don't forget that you will also have a chance to make your own mini book too, I'll try and post some photos of the book nearer the day of the workshop.
So that's all for now. I really look forward to seeing you all at the end of the month.
Thanks for looking! xx
