October and November Holiday Ornaments and Snow Festival Workshops

It's time to get ready for the October and November Christmas Workshops......
If you are registered to receive my emails, you should have already received details of the workshops. If you have not got yours, please do get in touch.

In this workshop we will be using the fabulous Ornament Keepsakes Stamps, coordinating Holiday Ornaments framelits dies and the Snow Festival designer series paper.

So here they are, the first glimpses of the cards we will be making.

Stampin' Up have recently brought out lots of new framelits dies. The framelits dies are great for framing images. You can see in the card below that I have used a die from the new Window Frames Collection. These dies are particularly good for framing square images.

And here's a few of the more quirky designs using images from the Snow Festival designer series paper.

I'll be uploading more designs as we get closer to the workshops.
In the meantime, thanks for looking.

Apothecary Art Summer Workshops Time!

I will resit the temptation to mention the weather as we approach our 'summer' workshops!

For our next workshops we will be working with the elegant stamp set Apothecary Art. Apothecary Art stamps have their own matching 'framelits' dies which make it a breeze to perfectly cut and nest the frames.

I struggled to decide which papers to use this month - I loved Twitterpated and Attic Boutique. These papers can be found in the summer mini for a limited time. In the end I decided to use both!

Here are the first samples using the Attic Boutique papers.

Here's a little gift box I decorated. I love the colour combinations in this - good old Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake and a hint of Daffodil Yellow.

I love the bird on a branch punch that makes an appearance in this card. Using it with these bright patterned papers really creates a nice effect.

The Attic Boutique papers are so pretty and there is such a variety of designs in one pack.

And for the last couple of Attic Boutique samples ............... simple yet very effective.

Moving on now to the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper. These colours are much more vivid and eye catching.

Twitterpated uses a lovely combination of Island Indigo, Riding Hood Red and Basic Gray.

The queen of techniques Mandy Webb showed me how to make these perfect little bows on the next card. So easy when you know how........and if you don't already, you soon will!

If you look very closely, you will see that my favourite Stampin' Up embellishments are making an appearance in this one.....those lovely little pearls.
A wedding card and an end of term teacher card!
And that's all for now. If you are coming in July or August I look forward to seeing you all.

And as always......thanks for looking !

May workshops - Beau Chateau!

So it's  been a while since my last blog post, but it's time to upload previews of our May workshops. If you are coming along to either of the days, then we have a gorgeous paper set and some really pretty stamps to go with it. The stamps we are using are called Charming and are from the Spring Mini catalogue. They are only available until the end of April so we have got them just in time!

Do you like the little trinket key in the card above? You will get some of these keys in your kit in various sizes and I think they make a simple card into something really special. I have attached the key with a little piece of Stampin' Up twine. I love twine and it makes an appearance on quite a few of the cards in this workshop.

We will be using the textured impressions designer frames as a main feature in lots of the cards. You can just about see the embossing of one of them in the card above.

The Beau Chateau papers are great for cutting out elements to build up layers and create dimension. There might be just a little bit of cutting here and there.......well actually there's quite a lot. But isn't that why we craft because we love cutting and sticking?

Because of the pastel shades of blue and pink in this kit, they are perfect papers for baby cards. In the cards below I have used the baby tees wheel stamp to make some new baby cards.

The charming stamp set is also great for creating backgrounds. In the card below I have stamped in soft suede on crumb cake card stock and then I used a white signo uni ball  pen to hi-light parts of the image.

So that's as much as you are getting here! Of course there will be more cards for you to see on the day.
I look forward to seeing you and thanks for looking.

Here are just a few of the cards that you could make.
These cards are all made using the Tea Time Simply Scrappin' kit. The papers and cardstock in the kit all co-ordinate beautifully. Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Pink Pirouette and Early Espresso teamed together to make for a really elegant combination.

Check your inbox for an email coming your way soon with details of the workshop. If for some reason, you don't receive an email and you would like to come along, please get in touch and I will forward details to you.

Tickets and Tags......

I love the Stampin' Up Simply Scrappin' kits. They are so easy to put together to make lots of great cards.
This set is called Tickets and Tags. I love the colour combinations in this set.

Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade and Baja Breeze!

Hope you enjoyed looking! I'm thinking of doing a card class using this set, if you are interested in joining me, let me know!
That's all for now x

Mocha Morning workshop samples coming up!

Happy New Year!

As promised I am uploading a few samples of the cards we will be making in January and February. If you are coming along and have any questions, please do drop me an email and I'll be happy to help.
These cards are made using the Mocha Morning designer series paper. I think this is probably my favourite paper set from the new catalogue. I have teamed up the Mocha Morning with some First Edition Newsprint paper and early espresso inks and card. I think I may have used a bit of crumb cake ink as well.
You can also see the Espresso Classic 6x6 ring binder album in the photo above, I have started to keep my cards in one of these.....it's just perfect for the job and of course it coordinates beautifully with all the cards that I have put inside!

It's hard to see in the photo, but the background paper I have used in the next card is textured with gorgeous flocking. I have also used one of the new Antique Brads in the centre of the flower. (Yes you will have some of these in your kit!)

In the next card I have coordinated the Mocha Morning Papers with Pool Party ink and cardstock. I love the combination of these colours.

The stamp set used on these cards is Creative Elements, another lovely set!
In the next cards I have used Rich Razzleberry as the coordinating ink and card colour. I think this combination might just be my favourite!
I'm looking forward to seeing you at one of the workshops in January or February!

I hope you have enjoyed having a sneak peek at the card samples and I'll see you really soon.
As always, thanks for looking,
Linds xx
