June's 'Etcetera' workshop samples!

The Baby We've Grown stamp set has really grown on me as I have been making these samples! I've put the Grid stamp to good use too and of course that Hardwood stamp had to make an appearance again.  I really don't think I will ever get tired of it (sorry).

There's something for the children in your lives too this month. The blast off stamps are such fun and I am sure that you will come up with some fabulous designs of your own using this set. There are so many elements to use in the one set of stamps.

I have to confess to finding this rosette technique on someone else's SU blog. It's a breeze to make when you punch out the shapes with the banner punch! You can see my inspiration here:

I really enjoyed working with the Summer Silhouette and the Happy Watercolour Stamps too.

I almost overlooked the honeycomb framelit which you can see in the next card.  I am so glad I finally spotted it. I can see this coming in very handy!

So that's it for now. I'll see you on Sunday if you are coming along and if not, I hope to see you at a workshop soon. xx

Is it that time already? April Workshop Samples for you!

I hope you are looking forward to next week's workshop!
If you are coming along, you will know that we are using the 'By the Tide' stamps set along with the 'Natural Composition' Papers. I almost overlooked this stamp set completely when I was browsing through the catalogue, but it struck me that I could make some cards which would be suitable for the men in our lives! I had a few requests last time for cards for men. I hope you like them.

The 'Hardwood' stamp has become a firm favourite in my tool kit. Wow this stamp really packs a realistic punch! I absolutely love it. I know if you have chosen it you will not be disappointed. You can see it in the background on the cards below.

I loved the  'Flower Shop' stamp set that we used last time. So much so that I teamed it up this time with the new 'Petite Petals' stamps and co-ordinating punch. You know me, I can not resist making 'pretties' !! The negative style die cut in the card above is from the new framelits set 'On Film'

The 'Fresh Prints' paper stack from the Spring Summer catalogue brings together the lovely colours of coastal cabana, crumb cake and real red. I know you are going to like these papers, they have a real modernity about them.

The 'Simply Stars' stamp set makes an appearance in the card below, as do last month's 'Gorgeous Grunge' stamps. I can't seem to leave those stamps alone, they really are super. Don't forget to bring them along with you to workshop if you have them.

As always there are many more samples to see and make at the workshop. See you next week and thanks for looking!

February 2014 Workshop - sample time...

 February 2014 Workshop

Hello everyone.

It's time for a workshop so it must be time for a blogpost too! This time we will be working with the Gorgeous Grunge and Flower Shop stamp sets. The patterned papers for February are Modern Medley and Soho Subway.
The flower shop stamp set is great to work with and I love the co-ordinating punch. Here are some Flower Shop samples:

The next samples show how I have used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to create an effective background. These stamps are great for scrapbooking too.

We have a project in our kit this month too......here's a little sneak :)

If you still have your Apothecary Art stamps, please bring these along as you might want to use them. I've used my hexagon punch quite a bit so if you have one, bring that too. I just love the black and vanilla combination in the Modern Medley Paper. Hope you do too!

I'm looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday, I hope you enjoyed your little taster ! See you soon,

Our Christmas workshop is finally here!

If you are coming along to the workshop, I hope you are ready to make LOTS of cards for Christmas! And if you are not joining us and you have stumbled across this blog by chance, I hope you enjoy having a look at the cards we will be making!
For this workshop we will be focusing on 3 main stamps sets. The first of which includes this fabulous Christmas tree, the set is called Special Season and it enables you to make lots of quick and simple yet effective cards. Perfect if you have a lot of friends and family to make cards for.

The next set we we will use is Snow Day. I have to confess, I fell in love with this little snowman. I think he is great for making children's cards. Here are a couple for you:

And here's the stamp set.

You don't have to use the Snowman on every card. This set is really versatile, you can make festive garlands too, like I have done in the card on the left in the next image.

Finally my absolute favourite stamp set that we will use in this workshop is festive flurry. You get a sneak peek of it in the picture above but it truly is a stunning set. Judge for yourself.....

It comes with a matching set of dies so that you can cut your snowflakes out perfectly and easily every time.

And a few cards to get you ready too.....

There are many, many more cards for you to make at the workshop. These are just a few glimpses of what's in store!

If you are coming to workshop, you may find it useful to bring along any Christmas greetings stamps you have. If you have a black ink pad such as stazon, that would be good too. It needs to be a permanent dye ink. Also versamark ink will be used frequently so please bring that if you have it. I will have some to share, but it will be easier for you if you have your own to hand.

Well that's it for now folks. See you all soon

July Workshop 'Patio Party' here we come!

What better way to spend a Bank Holiday weekend than preparing for my next Stampin' Up! workshop?   I can't think of any better way.
So in July we are going to be working with one of my favourite paper packs from this year's annual catalogue. Patio Party is such a fun and vibrant set which lends itself to birthday cards for boys and girls. I have teamed it up with the stamps sets 'Make a Cake' and 'Patterned Party'.  Add a bit of bling here and there and hey presto! Fabulous cards and so easy to make!

Here's just a few samples, the rest you will see on the day!

It won't just be birthday cards this month though. I have also used the gorgeous stamp set 'Kindness Matters to create simple yet effective cards that you can make in a flash!

And if you have a wedding to go to then it's always good to have a stunning handmade card ready for the occasion.  Here is one of the cards that you will make on the day using the set  'Just Married'.

And a friendship card using the stamp set 'For the Birds'.

Hopefully that has given you a flavour of the day. I will be posting more pictures nearer the workshop date and workshop attendees should be receiving an email from me in the next day or so with details of how to book.
As always, thanks for looking and happy stamping!
